My Son has been attending classes this summer, and I wanted to say that the instructors have been terrific. He is a special-needs student, so I know it is not always easy to work with him. However, your instructors (most of whom are fairly young!) have all been great with him, and that is not something I can say about many of the teachers he works with. Other high school and college-age instructors in Cub Scout and various summer camps do not communicate with him as well as your instructors, and it makes such a big difference to us. He looks forward to class, actually learns what he is supposed to learn, and is proud of the work he does there.

Why do we love HLTA…?  Well, the answer to that question is easy…it’s awesome!

I have two children who have been attending HLTA for 5 years.  They are both now first degree black belts, and are currently working towards their 2nd degree - I am extremely proud of them!

We moved to Castle Rock from England just over 6 years ago, and although we speak the same language, the cultural differences were huge, especially for young kids!  Both my kids tried different sports, but nothing seemed to fit! Then, after seeing Grand Master Lee and Mr. Tim at their school one day, they both insisted on trying Taekwondo…and here we are today!

Both my children lacked confidence and self esteem after moving here, and their coordination wasn’t great either! But taekwondo has changed all that, not only have they learnt a ‘cool’ martial art, they have learnt coordination, self defense, respect, perseverance, responsibility and most of all confidence.  They are no longer shy little kids; they are awesome teenagers who now have positive attitudes, great focus and dedication to reach their own personal goals!

Grand Master Lee and his wonderful team of friendly, dedicated staff have all had a helping hand in the character development of both my children.  With our family being so far away, it’s comforting to know that they have an extended family at HLTA, where everyone looks out for each other, and someone is there with a helping, guiding hand.  Grand Master Lee strives to get all his students to be the best they can be, and he always has an encouraging word to say. He is not just a great Taekwondo instructor; he’s a great person!

I am proud to say that both my children received their black belts under Grand Master Lee and all the staff at HLTA – Thank you to you all!
